Song of Atlanta steps out in fine style every time we perform for our community, those in our Region, or when performing around the world at International Conventions. Our costuming is exciting and refreshing and our persona is in true HOTlanta style! You'll feel engulfed in fun and friendship from the moment you hit our doors! Our music will intrigue you, our unique care will comfort you, and our commitment to the incredible organization of Sweet Adelines International will warm your heart! We love to get out and sing for our community. We sing at annual shows, a number of community events, and at annual competitions. We also perform Singing Telegrams around Valentines Day. In addition to sharing our music with others, another great passion of ours is learning more about the art of a cappella singing. Vocal instruction is a regular part of chorus rehearsals, and a very important component of the chorus experience. An exciting part of our year is when we get coaching from a visiting master in the art of barbershop, where we learn many fabulous tricks of the trade.

Song of Atlanta Show Chorus participates in the Region
23 chorus competition in
Chattanooga, Tennessee. Competitions are a special time for quartets and choruses from our Region to come together to sing for each other, and receive constructive feedback from a panel of qualified judges. The winners of the Regional competition in both quartet and chorus categories are invited to travel to International Competition, which is held in the fall in a city selected each year. The chorus is very proud to be 14-time regional champions and represented Region 23 in Seattle, Washington at the International competition in the fall of 2010. SOA placed 4th in Seattle after having placed in the top ten three times prior at other International conventions around the world. Song of Atlanta will proudly represent Region 23 once again in Denver, Colorado for the Sweet Adelines International competitions!

Mission Statement
The mission of Song of Atlanta Show Chorus is to provide all women the opportunity to develop artistic skills through vocal production, showmanship and dance instruction, to demonstrate their artistic excellence by participation in regional and international barbershop competitions, and to enrich and educate the community, through performances, about a cappella music in the barbershop style.
